Maze Planning Ltd is a small town planning consultancy which focuses very much on optimising planning solutions in partnership with the client, and taking a wide range of development projects through the development control, local plan policy making, and appeals systems. We have significant experience in dealing with planning applications for residential and commercial developments in both a brownfield, and greenfield context. We handle appeals and enforcement cases through the written representations, Informal Hearing, and Public Inquiry routes, and can act as advocate at Informal Hearings in particular.
We carry out planning appraisals, planning risk assessments and develop planning strategies for complex proposals, and will take a development through from the initial concept drawings stage, to detailed planning application submission, working with the client, appointed architect, and other consultants to maximise its potential, value, and quality.
We submit representations for new site allocations through the formal Local Plan/UDP processes and more recently through the emerging Local Development Frameworks now being put in place under the new Planning regime.
Maze Planning Ltd acts for a range of developers and housebuilders, but also has experience working with householders, and within the public sector, with a significant depth of experience in delivery mechanisms and models. We believe in trying to establish a genuine partnership approach to development between the two sectors. We believe in taking a development forward to a successful negotiated conclusion locally if possible, but will not hesitate from appealing if that is in the client's interests.
