Situ8 Ltd is a planning and environmental consultancy committed to promoting and fostering the growth of sustainable building practices with an emphasis on high quality design and minimising the environmental impact of development.
We have a commitment to spreading the word and giving our clients the confidence to take the leap and green up their building activities. This will prepare them for the inevitable pressure from Central government to do it anyway, so they will always be ahead of the game.
We work with our clients to meet their end goals and encourage a sustainable approach to the design process from inception through the design and construction process and through to end occupation. Through our project management expertise, we educate other professionals (such as traditional architects) and the client in the green design journey. We inspire positive change above and beyond legal requirements. We challenge professionals and clients to rethink their focus. Along with moral, ethical, social and environmental reasons and the need to comply with new legislation, we can demonstrate the short and long term financial gains of thinking more sustainably.
We have taken this approach because the building industry accounts for a large proportion of co2 emissions produced and we passionately believe planners have a direct responsibility to reduce this, by directly influencing clients in their method of build, materials used, how the building, operates, and the buildings longevity.
