Mike Hayes CBE BA MCD MRTPI HonFRIBA HonCIH AoU is an independent consultant advising clients in the public and private sectors on spatial planning, regeneration, development' planning applications and urban design.
He has a wide range of planning, development and management experience in senior roles in Liverpool, Glasgow, London, Watford and Northamptonshire and is a former president of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Michael Hayes Consulting offers advice, training and support to individuals, community groups, organisations and local authorities on development proposals, planning applications, design, procurement, organisation and delivery.
Mike works with other professionals to create the right team to undertake larger projects.
He is Secretary to the National Planning Forum, a Registered Commissioner for the Infrastructure Planning Commission, a CABE enabler and a member of both CABE's National Design Review Panel and the design review panel at MADE.
Recent projects include:
- providing training workshops on localism in the North West of England
- providing development management services to a major London secondary school
- leading the restoration and renewal of a 1905 church in south London.
- advice on public realm and conservation area issues around the Royal Albert Hall.
- advising the North West Development Agency on the economic, environmental and social future of the Mersey Basin.
