I act for landowners, farmers, householders, property developers and local authorities. I advise on and prepare applications for planning permission and certificates of lawfulness, planning and enforcement appeals, local development framework representations and master plans. I appear as an expert witness at hearings and inquiries.
I regularly advise farmers and other rural landowners on schemes of rural diversification including the conversion of buildings to leisure, business and residential use.
I prepare many planning applications for agricultural buildings on farms and glasshouses on horticultural nurseries, throughout East Anglia.
Establishing the lawfulness of unauthorised development makes up about 15% of my current instructions. These range from caravans and dwellings to large businesses and complex changes of use.
I deal with many applications and appeals for new housing, commercial and mixed use development and I promote housing, commercial and mixed use land allocations through local development frameworks on behalf of developers on a regular basis.
