The Landscape Partnership was established in 1986 and now has offices in Bedford, London, Norwich and Woodbridge, with associated offices in Ireland. We have a large multi-skilled team of forty-eight professional staff with qualifications in Town and Country Planning, Environmental Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Consultancy, Ecology, Arboriculture and Urban Design. The practice is registered with the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Landscape Institute, and is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, the Urban Design Group and the Arboricultural Association.
We have extensive experience of working in sensitive sites and always seek to provide appropriate, innovative and creative solutions which are unique to each individual project. We achieve this through rigorous analysis and an extensive knowledge of technical and environmental planning matters combined with creative design skills. Enthusiasm underpins the philosophy and culture of the practice and is reflected in the calibre of our staff. Each member builds upon experience and knowledge to create a diverse team that contributes proactively and creatively to project work and consultancy roles. Many team members have developed to become leaders in their particular fields, regularly representing the practice and the profession as competition panel judges, guest speakers at conferences, and facilitators of government initiatives. Our planning team is competent in: Leading multidisciplinary teams of consultants within and outside the company Expert witness Coordination of complex planning documents, including Environmental Statements Providing specialist advice to both the public and private sectors on planning policy and development management The Practice has established links with a range of specialists including planning lawyers, archaeologists, chartered surveyors, architects and engineers. We can quickly put together a team of experts to meet the needs of specific projects.
All elements of the planning application process, from the preparation of applications, supporting statements and design and access statements to negotiation with case officers, developing solutions to complex planning problems. Planning support for the production, adoption and implementation of masterplans and design guidance. Planning history review. Site sustainability appraisals to determine development location and site capacity. Guidance on sustainable construction and renewable or low carbon decentralised energy sources. Sustainable tourism management and eco tourism. Sustainability strategies for countryside, food and agriculture.
Environmental appraisals, environmental audits and environmental assessments of proposals, plans and strategies. Coordination of environmental impact assessments, including liaison with specialist sub consultants, production of scoping reports and environmental statements, and consultation strategies.
