Graham Raynor Planning & Architectural Design was established in 1999 and became a limited company a few years later. The Managing Director is Graham Raynor who has over thirty years of planning experience having spent more than twenty years in Local Government culminating in the position of Assistant Director responsible for the Development Services Section of a Metropolitan District that provided a coordinated Development and Building Control service. His experience extends to the full range of Development Control issues including dealing with all types of planning applications, preparation of appeals and giving evidence at Public Inquiries and in the High Court.
Having originally commenced training as an architect before diverting to take a Degree in Urban Land Economics and then a Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning the practice is able to provide a thorough and extensive understanding of the planning process.
Since its establishment the practice has been able to indulge its interest in all things architectural having been involved in a significant number of residential schemes and individual houses. Commercial developments have included a secure hospital, hotels, offices and retail proposals. The practice is able to call upon the services of a full range of development professionals including Engineers, Landscape Architects, Surveyors etc
The practice is able to provide a comprehensive planning service including the interpretation of planning legislation, feasibility studies, development plan representations, Section 106 Agreements, appeals and enforcement. The preparation and submission of all types of planning applications, Listed Building, Conservation Area Consent and Certificates of Lawful Use/Development is a speciality. It can provide a complete design service from feasibility through to detailed drawings. In all cases you will deal with Graham Raynor personally.
