Appointed Director of Planning at Halliday Fraser Munro in May 2004.

Bob Reid has been a Town and Country Planner for over 27 years, since gaining a Masters Degree in Civic Design at Liverpool University. He has worked in all aspects of planning, from new towns, through local planning in Glasgow's East End to development control in its bustling City Centre. He became Assistant Director of Economic Development and Planning at Grampian Region in 1993. At reorganisation in 1996 he moved to Aberdeen City Council as Assistant Director of Planning. In March 2002 he was appointed Head of Physical Development with responsibility all planning and building control matters in the new Aberdeen City Development Service.

Bob's expertise lies with masterplanning and civic design. He also has a broad knowledge and experience of mainstream planning - development control and development plans.

He has been an RTPI Award Winner with the Aberdeen City Centre Project and the preparation of a Planning Brief for the A-Listed Broadford Works in Aberdeen. He has been involved with notable projects such as the Aberdeen Beach masterplanning exercises and regeneration masterplanning at Torry SIP in Aberdeen. He has long been involved in environmental design - he was a founding member of Scottish LINK, is currently a Director of Tyrebagger Environment Arts project and established the Aberdeen Countryside Project (RTPI Award winning).

Ms Hazel Sears Bsc (Hons) DipTP MRTPI  [ E-mail ]

Hazel Sears has over 26 years experience practising as a chartered town planner in both Scotland and England. Her experience is extensive, involving employment at various levels within both the private and poublic sectors in a broad range of planning and related disciplines.

Her work in the private sector, for a wide range of clients, has involved the preparation of planning applications, master plans, environmental statements and feasibility studies. She has appeared as an expert witness on a number of occasions and has also acted as advocate.

Mr Steve Crawford BSc (Hons) MRTPI  [ E-mail ]

Steve Crawford is one of Halliday Fraser Munro's Regional Directors with over 12 years experience in the Scottish planning and development scene. He is a Chartered Town Planner with specific experience in policy planning, master planning, feasibility studies and advice, private sector development, regeneration and complex commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use proposals. Steve benefits from experience in both the public and private sectors, particularly with regard to the principles and practice of planning policy evaluation and preparation, partnership working, private sector development, planning negotiation and project management.
