Andy Karski has over 25 years experience in the public, private and academic fields, and is a fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Projects he has directed encompass masterplanning and design guidance; tourism development strategies; town centre regeneration strategies; environmental improvement; traffic calming and pedestrianisation studies; development feasibility studies; and planning negotiations and appeals.
Jennifer Ross is a chartered town planner and urban designer with considerable experience of the workings of the planning process at both the strategic and local levels. Her work at Tibbalds Planning & Urban Design has involved a wide range of projects throughout the UK and abroad, including: masterplans and development feasibility studies; urban regeneration strategies; town centre enhancement schemes; the preparation of design guidelines and detailed design guidance. Jennifer has particular expertise in the production of Development Frameworks, including the Framework for the regeneration of Elephant & Castle for the London Borough of Southwark.
Sue Rowlands is a chartered architect and town planner with over 15 years experience of urban design in the UK and Australia. She has experience of working in both the public and private sectors, undertaking work ranging in scale from strategic urban design studies to detailed design and implementation. Sue has been involved in a wide range of Tibbalds' work including: the production of detailed design guidance for complex urban sites; negotiations on the design aspects of planning applications on behalf of local authorities; and the masterplan for Lightmoor Urban Village for the Joint Venture of Bournville Village Trust and English Partnerships.
Jane Dann is an experienced urban designer, chartered town planner and architect with 20 years experience in urban design, planning, conservation and research. She has experience of working in both the public and private sector and has been involved in a wide range of urban design, planning and research projects throughout the UK. Projects that she has been involved in encompass masterplanning and development feasibility studies; urban regeneration strategies; town centre enhancement schemes; development frameworks; the preparation of design guidelines and detailed design advice. Jane led the Tibbalds research team working with UCL on the Design Codes Research Project for the DCLG and CABE, which culminated in the publication of ‘Preparing Design Codes: A Practice Manual’ to accompany PPS3.
Hilary Satchwell is an architect and urban designer with over 12 years' experience in urban design and regeneration, architecture and building conservation. Projects that she has been involved in encompass masterplanning and development feasibility studies; urban regeneration strategies; town centre enhancement schemes; development frameworks; the preparation of design guidelines and detailed design advice. Hilary's masterplanning work, for instance at Merton Rise in Basingtoke, has demonstrated her ability to draw together the often conflicting objectives of a multi-disciplinary team to create a clear, strategic vision.
