Mr Peter Stephenson Bsc, FIQ, CMIWM, MRTPI  [ E-mail ]

Peter is a founder partner of the practice. He graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1971 with a honours degree in Geology. He is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying, Member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management and a qualified geologist. Prior to the formation of Stephenson Halliday, Peter was a partner with Stephens Stephenson, Environmental Planning Consultants involved in a wide range of commissions for private and public sector clients.

Peter specialises in mineral and waste planning and the co-ordination of planning submissions with supporting environmental statements for other forms of large scale development including renewable energy projects, housing, and commercial development.

Mr Kenneth Halliday BSc, MPhil, MLI.  [ E-mail ]

Ken is a founding partner of the practice. He graduated from St Andrews University and obtained a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from University of Edinburgh in 1987.

He was formerly Head of Landscape Planning with SGS Environmental a multi disciplinary practice with 8 offices throughout the UK, prior to joining Stephens Stephenson as Associate in 1996. Ken has been responsible for leading and co-ordinating the environmental assessments of many large scale development projects, including minerals, waste disposal, transportation and renewable energy. This work frequently involves the application of advanced computer modelling to assist in 3D visualisation and visibility analysis. He has particular expertise in the environmental assessment of wind energy projects, having undertaken the landscape and visual assessment of some 30 proposed sites throughout the UK.

Mrs Mary Campbell BA (hons) BTP MRTPI  [ E-mail ]

Mr Nicholas Edwards BSc (hons) MRTPI  [ E-mail ]

Nick joined the practice in February 2004. He graduated from Dundee University with an Honours Degree in Town and Regional Planning. Nick was previously Senior Planning Officer at Cumbria County Council in their Minerals and Waste Team. Since joining Stephenson Halliday Nick has been responsible for leading and coordinating the enviornmental assessments of a number of large development projects, including minerals and renewable energy.
